"Tanya."

Tanya erupted into a squeal of joy, as she pumped her fist in excitement. And she barely had a chance to move before Stephanie was giving her a big hug. The strong firefighter nearly crushed her ribs, and Tanya had to pull herself away, out of self defense.

But now she was caught up in the pandemonium around her. She caught just snippets of it as she tried to take it all in at once.

The audience was cheering, loudly. It was clear that the vast majority of them had been Tanya-heads. Most of them had wanted her to win.

Jeff was snuffing out Steph's torch. Even in the chaos, he still had a job to do.

The jurors were coming down to congratulate her. Five of them had voted for her, including Ramona, Jessie and Ryan. But they all wanted to come down and talk to her now. After all, she was their new champion.

The live band was playing the "Survivor" theme song.

And now Jeff was back, and he was talking to the cameras.

"Tanya Vance," he said, "Our new champion! Unbelievable, she tore through this game unlike anyone we have seen in a while. At a certain point, she was basically unstoppable. No one had any way to get rid of her, she never received a single vote, and frankly, I was surprised she didn't sweep the jury. She was simply that good." He paused. "How did she do it? What got her to the end? How did she manage to lose two jury votes? We're gonna ask her. In fact, we're gonna ask them all. So stay tuned, and we'll be right back, with the All-Star Greece reunion show. Stick around!"

With that, the show went to commercial, and Tanya was suddenly at the center of attention. The players were rerouted to a bleacher set, and Jeff was rushed off to makeup. Stephanie plopped down next to her, gave her another quick hug, and the rest of the jurors filled in to her right.

But this was her moment.

She had done it.

She still wasn't used to it, and it would take a while to sink in, but it was all in the books now.

Tanya Vance was the newest winner of Survivor.
