Isabella's Pre-Show Confessional

Biography

Isabella was born on March 11, 1977, the first daughter and second child of four. After losing her mother to cancer, she and her siblings were raised by her father. Showing potential early on, she skipped first grade and continued to excel in school, taking advanced classes and making straight A's throughout most of school (and winning such silly awards as the Algebra 2 Award and the French award). Isabella was an extremely active child, participating in many sports, and she dreamed of becoming a famous ballerina and trained seriously for it, even going through a rebellious period and considering quitting high school to pursue a professional dancing career. However, her father finally convinced her to finish high school and she eventually decided to focus on other goals, mainly because of a serious dance-related injury in her late teens. She attended a liberal arts college for one and a half years and then quit, bored and wanting more out of life.

Always active, Isabella began yoga not long after quitting dancing, finally finding a very strict, focused and intense type called Ashtanga. She likes Ashtanga because it's similar to her former rigorous dance training and she has been practicing six days a week in the mornings ever since. She is a voracious reader, and has always been interested in psychology and philosophy, which led to her returning to college to study psychology. She does figure modeling on the side for money, which she absolutely loves.

Isabella lives in NYC. She has a small golden sun tattooed on her ankle and a belly-button ring. She is half Italian and half English and loves Italian food, although she sticks to a strict healthy diet, her most frequent dinner being rice with steamed vegetables. She loves to travel and has been to England and France and lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a short period of time. She prides herself on being incredibly perceptive, observant, persistent and strong-willed. She's gone through a lot of tough times in her life and thinks of herself as a fighter, and loves to shatter pre-conceived expectations of how she should be. She believes she is good at gaining people's trust and forming close relationships. Isabella is very excited to have a chance to play Survivor. She is willing to do anything to win, will use anything she can to her advantage and will spare nothing and no one on her quest. If she wins the million dollars, she will invest part of it, use part of it to pay off school and help her family, and use the rest to travel the world, Italy and India being on the top of her list.

Isabella finished in 2nd place in Survivor: Tonga, losing a close 5-2 vote to eventual champion Ronan.

Application Essay

Hi, my name is Isabella and I will be the Ultimate Survivor! I'm unpredictable, very intelligent and have an iron will. I'm extremely cunning and will be able to assess everyone out there without ever letting them know. I will use whatever I can to my advantage and spare none along the way. I can be very nice and can also hold my tongue when I know it's better for me, but I'm not afraid to speak my mind when I want to or need to. I'm good at building relationships and getting people to trust me, and though I usually think of that trust and friendship as sacred, in a game like this I will use it to my advantage.

About myself, I'm 26, from NYC, half Italian/half English; I have a father, an older brother and a younger sister and brother. I eat really healthy most of the time, but my favorite food is pizza and pasta even though I can't cook them. I keep in shape by doing yoga every morning, going dancing and other exercise. I trained to be a ballet dancer when I was younger but now am studying psychology.

However, my opponents won't know any of this. I am planning to play this entire game out under an alias, because I can't play as myself. I will use a fake name, make up a fake background and change how I look as much as possible. Basically, I'm going to be lying my ass off, more than I ever have to anyone in my entire life, and it's going to be very hard, but I'm up for the challenge, and I'm excited! This is going to be the trip of a lifetime and I'm getting my bank account ready for that big fat check!
