#87. Naaasty!
Marquesas - Episode 2
This was a really quick comment in Marquesas, but it never fails to
make me laugh when I see it. And I'm really
surprised that Boston Rob didn't take more heat for this one at the
time.
It's day four at camp Maraamu, and the tribe is doing their best to
work together as a team. They have been a
disaster so far, their leadership is non-existent, and something really
needs to be changing around here. Somebody
really needs to step up and take the lead.

That person, of course, ended up being Patricia. Known affectionately
as "Mama," Patricia Jackson ended
up taking control around camp Maraamu and started doling out tasks.
This tactic eventually got her voted out,
but that's not the reason she makes this list.
No, the real reason she makes this list was because of a moment that
happened on day four. It was just a quick
snippet of conversation, just something that Boston Rob commented on,
but it ended up being one of the most unbelievably
rude things I have ever heard someone say in my life. And like I said,
I
can't believe Rob didn't get in trouble
for what actually came out of his mouth.

You see... Patricia was a fairly large woman. She was probably the most
overweight player the show has ever cast. And on day four, she asked
Hunter to put some suntan lotion on her back. Hunter, being a good
sport, walked
over to help out, and the rest of the tribe started teasing him about
it. And I have to guess that Patricia made
jokes about her weight all the time, because she didn't seem to mind
that everyone was laughing at Hunter. She
didn't seem to be offended at all.
"How about under the arms?"
In fact, Patricia even escalated the joke by asking Hunter to next rub
lotion down under her arms (ie, towards
her breasts). She raised her arms up in the air, and that's when Rob
said something he probably shouldn't have.
"Ohhhh, naaasty!"
Rob Mariano was always the king of saying things he would later regret,
and this is one of the most jaw-droppingly
inappropriate things to ever come out of his mouth. You see, Rob was
standing right next to Patricia when
he said it. He just blurted out the most inappropriate word without
thinking and it's always made me laugh when
I see this scene on tape. It was just a total Mariano moment. Patricia
raises her arms, and Rob looks at her
body and says "naaasty!"
