Age: 16
Hometown: Overland Park, Kansas
Occupation: Pre-Law Student/Debate Champion
Luxury Item: War and Peace
Biography
Hogan Mueller was born in the beautiful NW to a day care provider and an engineer. He lived a very modest life
in Portland, Oregon until the age of 8 when his father took a new job in Cosmopolis, WA. There, he excelled in
school and other activities. He won a scholarship in 6th grade for the highest cummulative GPA in his school.
Around the same time, he got involved with the Boy Scouts of America. In the BSA, he quickly worked his way up
the ranks and became the youngest Eagle Scout in the state of WA. For his project, he built 2 welcome signs for
the City of Cosmopolis. The project was estimated at $25,000, but Hogan completed it for under $3,000, and left
the city a surplus from the project.
After finishing his project, the Mueller family relocated to Casa Grande, AZ, once again due to his father's job.
Hogan states that Arizona was a nice sabbatical for him. While the people in Arizona were less than friendly, Hogan
didn't let that from achieving his goals. He maintained a 4.0 GPA.
After 6 months in AZ, Hogan's father was promoted again, which caused his family to move to their current residency
in Overland Park, KS. Hogan feels this is the best place that he has lived. The schools are nationally recognized,
and the people are wonderful. Hogan is involved with Student Council, was the Freshman Class President, is going
to state for Debate, plays in Jazz Band, is in Boy Scouts, is the founder of the Young Republican's Club, manages
Varsity Basketball, plays Rec. Basketball, and still manages a 4.4 GPA.
He considers his father his hero because he worked his way to the top of a company without a college degree. He
currently works as a legal intern at a fortune 500 company. He is excited for the experience of a lifetime. For
the future, Hogan would like to be a corporate lawyer and a politician. His dream would be to attend school in
Washington DC.
Application Essay
There are many reasons why I am justified to be on Survivor: Okinawa and why I will be the final Survivor.
For your convenience, I will put my answers in outline format.
* I am a young and fiery person who would start an alliance, yet if I realized I couldn't be alpha male, I would
be their number two man
* Let's face it. Survivor is recycling names, Hogan is unique.
* This would be the ultimate birthday present
* I am no stranger to doing things at a young age
* I would be dedicated to the game's process
Next, why I would be the Ultimate Survivor:
* I am adaptive
* I have strong outdoor skills
* Likeable
* I know how to be conniving without being caught
* I know how the game works and the best strategies for the game
* Because I said so, and you know so
Now to me. I am an involved person. I am class president, founder of the Young Republicans Club at my school,
play guitar in jazz band, and I participate in my church Youth Group. I have a 4.4 GPA (Honors Classes), but I
am not considered a nerd. I truly love Survivor. In my Honors English class we had to give a report on our favorite
thing. Guess what I did mine on. Also, I have taken some heat from friends for how much I love it. Put me on so
I can justify their verbal thrashings. I have lived in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Kansas. Through these experiences
I have learned to adapt to the different climates, the different social aspects of the places, and I have become
quite good at picking friends. My friends have always been my allies in Student Council campaigns. Having a hot
campaign manager helps out too. I currently reside in Overland Park, Kansas. It is the largest suburb of Kansas
City. However, I live at the very edge of it, so most of the people at church and school are "country bumpkins”.
KS needs better Survivor representation. You guys are experts, so you know that B.B. doesn't "represent".
As for the timeline, I will be available during all of those times. I can usually email after 6 every weekday.
Now you know that I am dedicated for sure. As for my personality, I am pretty laid back. However, if someone says
something I don't like, I will tell them my view and back it up with support. I guess that I most associate John
Carroll's game strategy. However, the key number for an alliance is 5, not 4. Also, I will use the Boy Scout uniform
to my advantage. Nobody thinks that a scout will tell lies. I will, and will make sure to point out the Eagle Badge.
I know you have chosen me by now, so I will wrap it up. I will be waiting for the confirmation. I have 2 words
left until the limit. CHOOSE ME!
Finalist Essay
Well, you remember me from my awesome, exactly 500 word essay. As you already know, I know this game inside and out. I have the most unique luxury item, War and Peace. It can be used for entertainment, toilet paper, and starting a fire. I am dedicated to the process of this game. I loved Tonga, and can't wait to see my name on Survivor Central. Once I get on Tonga, then you can hook me up with some survivor memorabiela from your writers there. I used to live in WA, where you are from (Cosmopolis, it is in Grays Harbor) so you gotta give me some props for being able to stand 120 inches of rain a year. I am charismatic, in case you can't tell. Finally, I have never played one of these games before, so you know you are getting someone who will play by your rules and not the rules of some other game. You will also be able to know that I won't have any previous connections with the other castaways like some of the online game junkies will. Well, last time I left you saying I will be waiting for the confirmation, and once again, I will be waiting. I will talk to you in a week or so when the game begins.
Have fun reading everyone else's monotonous pleas.
