Okinawa Finale Episode: Prologue

[Fade in from black. Soft, pan flute music plays over scenic shots of fishing boats and fisherman in Okinawa. We see a tranquil shot of a temple. Then a shot of a bamboo garden. Then of a monk, sitting deeply in meditation.]

Probst: Thirty-six days ago... sixteen strangers were stranded in the wilderness... and they were stranded to play the Ultimate Survival game...

[A quick shot of Murtz smashing David with a kendo pole.]

Probst: They came here to play the game of Survivor, and they came to play it on one of the bloodiest battlefields in American history. They came to the island of Okinawa, and they came here to compete for a million dollars...

[A quick shot of Amy jousting Joni off of a log.]

Probst: And compete they have, through grueling challenges...

[A quick shot of Mike and Lance holding up statues.]

Probst: ... unpredictable weather...

[A shot of Michelle and Christopher, looking miserable while out in a rainstorm.]

Probst: ... starvation...

[A shot of Joni, looking very, very skinny while lying by the beach.]

Probst: ... twists...

[A shot of Michelle spinning the Sundial.]

Probst: ... But most of all, they've have to compete with each other...

[A shot of David and Ryan arguing. Then a shot of Amy screaming at Henry.]

Probst: And for the first time ever, they've had to compete with a former Survivor player, coming back to play one more time.

[A shot of Isabella leaning against a tree, smirking as she spies on Beth and Matt.]

Probst: The sixteen players were originally divided into two tribes. Sato and Kamiya.

[A shot of the two tribal flags.]

Probst: ... And these tribes started off the game like night and day. For while Kamiya had efficient and effective structure right off the bat...

[A shot of Mike directing Murtz where to go. Then a shot of Isabella carrying back an armful of fruit.]

Probst: ... Sato was a disaster from the very start. Their reliance on early alliances and a complete lack of leadership doomed them almost from day one.

[A shot of Beth being forced into the leadership role, simply because nobody else wanted to take it.]

Beth: But I don't want to do it, Amy! I won't be good at this!

[A shot of Matt and David, laughing, as Hogan stumbles and falls into the side of the shelter.]

Probst: Sato's core alliance was formed on day one...

[A shot of Amy, Matt and Henry, all shaking hands.]

Probst: ... And came crashing down on day two...

[A shot of Henry arguing with Amy.]

Henry: But I want Elisabeth in! She has to be in, I've already promised her a spot!

Amy: Elisabeth already told us no! Stop promising her deals you can't keep!

Probst: And though Henry caused the majority of the drama the first three days, it was his relationship with Elisabeth that ended up dominating the early politics at Sato...

[A shot of Henry talking to Elisabeth, alone on the beach.]

Henry: I'm trying to bring you in but I can't. These people are just too stubborn to see this is what we need.

Elisabeth: It’s almost like Romeo and Juliet. We’re friends but we’re on different sides...

Probst: And when Sato lost the first immunity challenge...

[A shot of Chris outrowing Henry across the sea, then Mike dragging his boat across the beach.]

Probst: ... It was Elisabeth who ended up taking the fall, just so Sato would still have some control over loose-cannon Henry. And Elisabeth became the first player voted out of the game.

[Quick shots of five people holding up votes for Elisabeth. Then a shot of Elisabeth's torch being snuffed.]

Probst: Day four brought the focus over to Kamiya, as the majority of the action revolved around Christopher and Michelle, and their new alliance of four...

[A quick shot of Christopher pinky-swearing with Isabella. Then one of Michelle giving Joni a hug.]

Probst: They were called Joni's Angels, and they were in prime position to run this game all the way to the end. Especially when the men of Kamiya had no idea they even existed.

[A shot of Murtz, Mike and Ryan laughing.]

Murtz: We -so- have this thing wrapped up. Besides, the girls are idiots. Especially band-camp girl. She's a total moron.

Probst: But despite the Angels' plan to blindside the guys, it was Danielle, and her eccentric ways, that dominated the tribal politics at Kamiya at the moment.

[A shot of Danielle and the Kamiyas, sitting around the campfire talking.]

Danielle: Because I'm scared of gnomes. I don't like them, they just stare at you with those beady little eyes.

[A shot of Ryan and Murtz, exchanging a look]

Probst: Danielle was on the outs, and the Angels tried to take her in. But when their plan backfired... everything started to fall apart...

[A shot of Danielle whispering to Ryan]

[A shot of Murtz yelling at Christopher]

[A shot of Michelle arguing with Mike]

Michelle: She's insane, Mike! She's making crap up and we just need to shut her mouth!

Probst: With tensions still high on both tribes, the players competed in a codebreaker challenge on day five. And in a tense tiebreaker, Ryan ended up beating Henry in a timed showdown.

[A shot of Ryan being mobbed by the Kamiyans, while Amy and Matt glare at Henry for Sato.]

Probst: But while Kamiya dealt with the Danielle situation, their reward victory was short-lived. Because they lost immunity the very next day...

[A shot of Isabella throwing up a baby turtle]

[A shot of Murtz gagging on a centipede]

Probst: ... Due to the iron stomach of Matt.

[A shot of Matt wolfing down a sea slug, then thrusting his fists into the air.]

Probst: As Kamiya went to their first Tribal Council, it was time for 'Danigate' to come to an end. And with the Angels having smeared her to the rest of the tribe, Danielle faced the harsh reality of life at Kamiya... as she was blindsided in a unanimous vote.

[A shot of Christopher, holding up his ballot.]

Christopher: In short Dani, you not only suck. But you swallow too.

[A shot of Danielle having her torch snuffed.]

Probst: Day seven brought newfound hope to both tribes... but it also brought with it a twist. And both tribes were surprised to find Mike and Henry selected to go away to be "outcasts."

[A shot of Isabella giving Mike a hug. He looks devastated.]

[A shot of Henry saying goodbye to the Sato. Nobody gives him a hug.]

Probst: And while Mike was well respected by his tribe, Sato's lack of respect for Henry was about to come bite them in the butt.

[A shot of Hogan and Matt, laughing.]

Hogan: Henry's a douche.

Probst: Because at the tea ceremony twist, Mike and Henry were here to pick up new teams. And Henry wasted -no- time in telling Mike exactly the Satos to take.

Henry (to Mike): Just break them all apart. But make sure to leave Amy for me. Because I want to take care of her -myself-

[A shot of Henry laughing. Then a shot of Amy, looking worried.]

Henry (to Mike): Besides, Amy is the Antichrist.

Probst: New teams were picked that night, and several alliances were torn apart. Especially Murtz and his Three Amigos...

[A shot of Murtz, saying goodbye to Ryan and Mike.]

Probst: ... Amy and her friends at Sato...

[A shot of Beth and Amy, saying a tearful goodbye.]

Probst: ... And half of Joni's Angels.

[A shot of Joni and Christopher, packing up to walk away from Michelle.]

Probst: And with Henry returning to take his revenge on Amy, things were ready to come to a head on Sato. Because Amy and Henry could not possibly co-exist, and one of them was going to have to go.

[A shot of Amy, glaring at Henry. And a shot of Henry, glaring at Amy.]

Probst: When Kamiya won the immunity challenge...

[A shot of Isabella, beating Amy in kendo wars.]

Probst: The Henry and Amy war came to a head. And in this case, Amy was far more persuasive in gathering her allies...

[A shot of Amy and Joni, sharing a hug.]

[A shot of Amy and Christopher, shaking hands.]

[A shot of Amy and Murtz, laughing at a joke.]

[A shot of Murtz, giving Henry the finger behind his back.]

Probst: And Henry was blindsided by the tribe he thought he controlled, becoming the third player voted out of the game.

Christopher (voting for Henry): I wish there was another way to say this Henry, but there isn't. You are a complete asshole. All you do is talk about yourself, your opinions, your receding hairline and your bad eyesight. And, oh yeah, NOBODY LIKES YOU!!!

[A shot of Henry getting his torch snuffed.]

Probst: But over at Kamiya, things had taken a dark turn for the three new members of the tribe. Because Beth, David and Matt were the victims of an elaborate hoax, and they didn't yet have a clue what they were in for.

[Quick clips of people plotting and fighting at Kamiya.]

Mike (to Michelle): I'll just pretend like I'm going to flip to vote with them. That way they won't try to sway anyone else.

Michelle (to Isabella): Just keep them off balance. Never let them know that all three of them are dead meat.

Ryan (to David): So if you want to talk strategy don’t bother filtering info through my secretaries. Just come directly to me if you want to make a deal. So which one of your buddies should I vote off tomorrow? Would you rather dump Beth or would you rather dump Matt?

Michelle (yelling at Beth): You chunky monkey! We would have won that challenge if it wasn't for you! You totally cost us a win!

Probst: And as Ryan sat back and watched... David and the Satos walked right into his master plan.

[A shot of Ryan, sitting up on his perch.]

Ryan: It was just beautiful, wrathful, vengeful, Earth-shattering madness. Even more than I could have ever hoped for!

Probst: And as Isabella looked on in silent contempt, Ryan got Kamiya to throw the challenge... anger David... and provoke him into a fight just before the vote.

[A shot of David yelling at Michelle.]

David: Oh can it, bitch.

Probst: David was voted out at Tribal Council, and Ryan just sat back and watched in glee. His master plan to torture the Satos, then vote them out, was working perfectly.

[A shot of David having his torch snuffed.]

[A shot of Ryan sitting back and laughing.]

[A shot of Isabella, watching Ryan and glaring, angrily.]

Probst: Day thirteen was to turn into a day of betrayal, as Christopher and Joni planned to take Murtz out on Sato. He was a Kamiya, he was their ally, but he was also turning into a lot of work...

Chris (complaining to Amy): Talking to him is like babysitting. And I can't take it anymore! He drives me nuts!

[Four quick shots of Murtz, asking Chris about endgame plans.]

[A shot of Chris, rolling his eyes.]

Probst: And with Hogan and Joni enjoying a tight bond, the Satos were becoming more unified than ever before. Their alliances had now crossed over into one, and Murtz was slowly being pushed to the outside.

[A shot of Hogan, helping Joni carry pineapple across a field.]

Probst: ... And when Sato blew a crucial immunity challenge...

[A shot of Joni and Amy, trying to pull statues out the water while Jeff looks on in disbelief.]

Jeff (at Tribal Council): Why didn't you guys have Hogan lifting your statues?

Hogan (at Tribal Council): I thought that was a mistake.

[A shot of Murtz having his torch snuffed.]

Probst: Murtz Jaffer became the fifth player voted out of the game.

Christopher (casting his vote): In the end, I’ve -always- known that you needed to be eradicated before the merge. Not so much because you’re a threat, but simply because I cannot deal with you for 39 days. I hate to say this, but you are truly a trying human being, in -EVERY- way possible.”

Probst: ... Though he caused his fair share of drama on the way out.

[A shot of Murtz throwing the picture of his mom into the fire.]

Murtz: See ya, bitch.

Hogan (voiceover): Murtz is a ho.

Probst: On Day sixteen, Michelle came to visit Sato... in order to smash down their shelter as part of a reward.

[A shot of Michelle, walking alone through the forest.]

Probst: ... But a whispered message to her friend Christopher was about to have tragic repercussions...

Michelle (whispering to Chris): Help me. Mike and Ryan are trying to screw me.

Probst: ... As Christopher and Joni decided to throw the immunity challenge.

Christopher (to Joni): We need to throw it and we need to throw it to save Mich. This is what she asked me to do!

Probst: And as Michelle and Isabella made a final two deal on Kamiya...

[A shot of Michelle and Isabella smiling and sharing a hug.]

Probst: ... Michelle's world was about to come crashing down. Because Christopher didn't have the control he thought over the Sato vote...

[A shot of Lance and Amy whispering something.]

[A shot of Lance stopping to tell something to Hogan.]

Probst: And his plan to throw the challenge backfired. When Christopher became the sixth player voted out of the game.

Hogan (casting his vote for Chris): Tooooo dramatic.

[A shot of Chris having his torch snuffed.]

Probst: On day nineteen, the two tribes expected a traditional merge. They all expected to be joined as one. But as they were soon to find out... the tribes were going to stay as they were. The merge was going to be delayed.

[A shot of Beth and Matt, looking crushed.]

Probst: And though Ryan still controlled Kamiya, rumblings were growing to start to take him out. His reign at the top was slowly coming to an end. Especially when Isabella locked him in her targets.

Isabella (confessional from day three): I just have to take out Danielle... then Ryan... then Joni. And those are the only three obstacles I think I'll face in this game.

Probst: Michelle and Isabella took their final two pact, and they brought in Beth and Matt. And these four were primed to backstab Ryan and send him packing.

Isabella (to Beth and Matt): I just wanted to tell both of y'all that I will be voting for Ryan at the next Tribal Council. And I mean it, I can promise you that from the bottom of my heart.

Probst: But while the plan may have worked, the news that Christopher was gone sent Michelle over the edge...

[A shot of Michelle, slamming her machete into a tree.]

Probst: And she vowed to destroy the Satos in return.

Michelle (in confessional): Especially Amy!

Probst: Michelle planned to send a message to the other tribe. And she did it by taking out her frustration on Amy's best friend in the game, Beth...

[A shot of Beth, smiling and hugging Amy at the BBQ reward.]

Probst: And poor Beth never stood a chance.

[A shot of Michelle, plotting with Kamiya to blindside Beth at the vote.]

Michelle (to Ryan): The look on the bitch’s face will be priceless!

Probst: Over Isabella's protests, Kamiya forced Beth to sit out, threw the immunity challenge, and then blasted her at Tribal Council. And just as Michelle had hoped, Beth became the seventh player voted out of the game.

[A shot of Beth having her torch snuffed.]

[A shot of Michelle grinning, happily.]

Probst: The merge finally came on day twenty-two, as the final nine members of the game were merged into one.

[A shot of Jeff speaking to the Miyagis on the beach. Then of Joni and Michelle exchanging a hug.]

Probst: The key variable in the merge was Joni, as she was the biggest swing vote between the two sides. She was the only player here with ties to everybody.

[A shot of Isabella and Joni, laughing by the beach.]

[A shot of Amy and Joni, making dinner together.]

[A shot of Michelle and Joni, sharing a hug and a smile.]

[A shot of Hogan and Joni, sharing a late night walk on the beach.]

Probst: But despite all of Amy and Hogan's attempts...

[A shot of Hogan and Amy cornering Joni by the beach.]

Probst: Joni's loyalty was to the Angels, and she came running back to Michelle the first chance she had.

[A shot of Joni, Isabella and Michelle having a reunion.]

Probst: And the Angels were again back in control.

Joni (to Michelle): I want everyone to know that I'm a hundred percent back with you guys. You saved me when it counted and I'll be there for you. You can -trust- me.

Michelle (to Joni): Welcome back to the Angels. Welcome back to the people who love you

Probst: The target of the Kamiyas was supposed to be Amy... but that was when Isabella decided Ryan simply had to go. She just couldn't take him in her way any longer.

[A shot of Ryan laughing and mock-bowing to Amy.]

Probst: At Tribal Council, the players faced the most grueling challenge of the game...

[A shot of Mike struggling to hold up a statue. He barely holds on to beat Lance.]

Probst: ... as well as the second, and final, twist.

[A shot of Jeff unveiling the Sundial. Various reaction shots from shocked players.]

Probst: The Sundial was good for four immunities, including one for the previously targeted Amy.

[Jeff tosses an amulet to Lance.]

[Jeff tosses an amulet to Hogan.]

[Jeff tosses an amulet to Amy.]

Probst: And with Amy now immune, Isabella decided it was time to make her big run to the top. And that meant... it was time for Ryan to go.

[A shot of Isabella holding up her ballot for Ryan.]

Isabella (casting her vote): Ryan, you are a vile, clever and dangerous creature, and I am disposing of you before you have the chance to sink your sharp, weasely fangs into me. I got you, you son of a bitch

Probst: And Ryan Rebez became the first juror of the game.

[A shot of Ryan having his torch snuffed.]

Probst: With Isabella now turning on Kamiya, all hell broke loose on day twenty-five. And everybody in the game wondered what the heck she was really up to.

Mike (in confessional): So now we know who the true snake in the grass is. We all thought it would be Ryan, but the -true- snake turned out to be our little, sneaky, not-so-under-the-radar young Emma.

Michelle (in confessional): I promise you that when we get done with her... "not-so-innocent" Emma will see what it's like to be fucked over the coals.

Probst: With chaos reigning and things turning from bad to worse, Mike decided to change his strategy. Wanting to be associated with Kamiya no longer, he decided to play for "honor" instead. And he began his strategy of being nice to the jurors on their way out, starting with the newly targeted Matt.

[shot of Mike and Matt exchanging a handshake.]

Matt (to Mike): Meh, I once thought you were an ass. But you're a good guy. At least you're honest.

Probst: And though all eight votes were going to go towards Isabella, she was able to pull out an immunity win when she needed it most...

[A shot of Isabella and Michelle racing across a climbing ladder.]

[A shot of Jeff handing Isabella a sun amulet.]

Probst: And a failed alliance between Matt and Isabella ended up leading to his doom, as an immune Isabella wasted no time in running back to Kamiya, asking to be back in their wings.

Isabella (to Michelle): Mich, I just wanted to let you know that I want to vote with Kamiya. I'm going to help you guys take out Matt. And I'd love it if y'all would take me back...

Probst: Isabella was back, Kamiya was back together, and they used Joni's hold over Hogan...

[A shot of Joni asking Hogan to switch.]

Joni: Just vote for Matt tonight, and I'll make sure Kamiya saves you and Lance for last. This is the only way you'll avoid a tie!

Probst: ... Kamiya regained their numerical advantage. And Matt Carter became the second juror of the game.

[A shot of Matt having his torch snuffed.]

[A shot of Isabella, looking smug.]

Probst: Once Matt was gone, Kamiya had a straight path to the final four. With the Kamiyas needing Isabella's vote, and Isabella winning immunity after immunity...

[A shot of Isabella picking tomatoes.]

[A shot of Isabella climbing a wall.]

[A shot of Isabella, knocking nuts down from a tree.]

Probst: ... The Kamiyas were able to pick off the Satos, one by one.

[A shot of Hogan having his torch snuffed.]

[A shot of Lance having his torch snuffed.]

Probst: Last week, there were four Kamiyas left in the game, with the beleaguered Amy being the last remaining Sato. Because despite the fact she had been targeted at every vote, the plucky young mom had always managed to pull out immunity when she needed it most.

[A shot of Amy holding up a statue, gritting her teeth in agony.]

[A shot of Amy, racing across a tomato field as fast as she could.]

Probst: Amy received a huge boost on day thirty-four, when she won a puzzle challenge over Mike...

[A shot of Amy cheering happily, while Mike looked dejected.]

Probst: ... And was rewarded with a trip to a resort with her sons.

[A shot of Amy and her two boys, waving happily from a boat.]

Probst: The boost was not enough though, as Amy won the immunity challenge...

[A shot of Amy, vaulting over a wall just before Isabella.]

Probst: ... But was disqualified for cracking her egg...

[A shot of Jeff, holding up Amy's cracked green egg.]

Probst: Isabella won immunity, and that meant Amy was left to face down the firing squad.

Michelle (to Mike): This is going to be awesome.

Probst: But once again... Isabella decided to take the vote into her own hands. She and Mike started a campaign to get Joni out of the picture instead, both of them knowing the power that Michelle had over the young namesake of the Angels.

Mike (to Amy): Amy, I just want you to know that I can get them to switch the vote to Joni instead. But I want to make sure I have a deal with you first...

Amy (to Mike): A final two pact, Mike. I promise. You save me tonight and I'll do -everything- I can to get you to that final two.

Probst: And Isabella was able to bully Michelle into voting for her best friend in the game.

Isabella (to Michelle): Have you ever noticed that Joni never does well in the challenges? Have you noticed how badly she dogs it in every challenge, trying to show that she's not a threat at all? And I think she's -much- more capable and athletic than she lets on.

Probst: Michelle didn't like it, but she realized she didn't have much of a choice. With Amy, Mike and Isabella all on board, it meant Joni was about to get backstabbed. And Michelle knew it was her duty to warn her.

[A shot of Jeff reading the votes.]

[A shot of Michelle sitting, silently.]

[A shot of Joni looking worried.]

[A shot of Michelle, saying nothing.]

[A shot of Joni having her torch snuffed.]

Probst: Joni was blindsided without warning, and she shot Michelle a hurt glare on the way out, signalling the end of the Angels for good.

[A shot of Joni's death glare.]

Probst: And now... on day thirty-seven... just four players remain in the game.

[A shot of the final four, walking out of last night's Tribal Council, in a group.]

Probst: Isabella, the sly psychology student, and runner-up from last year's Survivor: Tonga.

[A shot of Isabella, laughing as she hugs both Beth and then Matt.]

[A shot of Isabella, smiling her Tina smile while casting a vote for Ryan.]

Probst: Michelle, the fiery manager’s assistant, and last true member of the Angels.

[A shot of Michelle and Christopher, laughing as they take a swim on day one.]

[A shot of Michelle, punching her way through a sheet of ice, while screaming.]

Probst: Mike, the big man with the gnome, and last remaining male in the game.

[A shot of Mike, balancing a statue on his palm. His strong right arm bulges with effort.]

[A shot of Mike, shaking Lance's hand just before they cast votes for one another at Tribal Council.]

Probst: And Amy, the resilient mom from Wisconsin, as well as Sato's very last hope.

[A shot of Amy, diving into the water to swim for a challenge.]

[A shot of Amy, laughing with her two boys on the beach.]

Probst: Tonight, they will compete in two immunity challenges... three Tribal Councils... and one of them will walk away with the prize of one million dollars...

[A shot of Jeff standing before the voting urn. He nods as he opens it up.]

Probst: Three days.

[A shot of Michelle and Isabella paddling in a boat.]

Probst: Two Immunity Challenges.

[A shot of Amy and Mike, both holding up statues.]

Probst: One unforgettable final Tribal Council.

[A shot of the jurors looking on from their seats.]

Probst: And the crowning of the one... Sole... Survivor.

[A shot of Jeff reading a ballot. He smiles.]

Probst: Who will win? And who will be eliminated?

[A quick montage of the final four... Michelle... Isabella... Amy... and Mike.]

Probst: Stay tuned.

[Fade out on a picture of a torch.]

[end]
