The Tale of Na Onka and Fabio
Chapter 18
Teaming Up With the Enemy
You ever have one of those days where everything goes wrong?
Welcome to Na Onka's world.
After
twenty-four days of doing everything she can to be heroic, and always
choosing good over the path of nastiness and evil, it all falls
apart for Na Onka on the morning of day twenty-five.
Because that's when she finds out that her BFF Brenda is trying to target her
Traitor
And with that, everything Nay knows about good and the struggle for honor and justice is suddenly thrown into question.
Especially when Jane asks her to help her vote out her friend
For
somebody who has never had a mean bone in her body, and who has never had a mean thought
in her life, this development with Brenda flips Nay's entire world upside down.
You
see, Brenda is getting cocky. Brenda is becoming mad with power.
Brenda is choosing the path of unrighteous evil.
She also isn't eating the recommended 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day
And this is where we see a change in Na Onka's story.
This is where she does something that would have been UNTHINKABLE just a couple of days before.
On a reward trip that she's sharing with Fabio. Yay! Fun!
Yuck, gross
She does the unimaginable.
And she teams up with the enemy.
A strange new friendship is born
Nay pulls Fabio aside and she explains to him that he DOES have good inside of him. She can see it.
I believe in you, Judson. You have good in you.
They
stand there, and they have a nice discussion on the side of a volcano.
Just the two of them and Kelly Purple, who is somewhere off
camera to the right.
Fabio considers if he wants to do a face turn. And maybe join Na Onka and help her take out the bad guys.
I
might not be here the rest of the game. And if I'm gone, Judson,
YOU need to carry my torch and bring it home for the forces of goodness.
She talks and talks, and somehow Saint Nay of Onka works her incredible magic.
You're more man than machine, Fabio, I can feel it
Because just like that, like Anakin at the end of Return of the Jedi, Fabio flips and he turns to the good side.

And with that, the evil, scheming turncoat Brenda is sent home.
And the new hero of Nicaragua is born.
The man who saved Nicaragua. Our hero.
